Spring Loaded Tilting Stands for IBCs: Enhance Efficiency and Safety in Liquid Decanting

In industrial environments, specfcially in manufacturing, chemical handling, or food processing, the process of decanting liquids from Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) is a common necessity. However, this process can often be awkward, time-consuming, and possibly hazardous without the proper equipment. That’s where Spring Loaded Tilting Stands for IBCs come in. These tilting stands provide a practical and ergonomic solution to streamline the decanting process, guaranteeing better productivity, enhanced safety, and greater ease of operation.

What Are Spring Loaded Tilting Stands for IBCs?

Spring-loaded tilting stands are an innovative piece of equipment designed to help in the safe and efficient transfer of liquids from IBC containers. The stand allows the IBC container to gradually tilt at a controlled angle to allow for easy pouring, reducing the need for manual lifting or awkward positioning. This type of equipment is especially useful for industries that need to decant liquids frequently, such as in warehouses, laboratories, or production facilities.

Key Features of Spring Loaded Tilting Stands

1. Ergonomic and Efficient Design

One of the most outstanding features of the Spring-Loaded Tilting Stand is its ergonomic design, which improves both user safety and productivity. The stand is built to gradually raise the IBC platform to a 10-degree angle as the weight of the container decreases, making it easier to pour out liquids without spilling or requiring excessive force. This tilting process ensures that the liquid is dispensed evenly and safely, minimising the risk of messes or hazardous spills.

By removing the need for manual tilting or lifting, these stands significantly reduce physical strain on workers, making them an essential addition to any facility that uses IBCs for liquid storage. This is particularly beneficial in environments where large or heavy containers are often handled.

2. Versatile and Easy to Use

The stand is made with a hinged platform that slowly raises in response to the decreasing weight as liquids are dispensed. This automatic tilt action makes the process smoother and more predictable, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Once in use, the stand operates efficiently without needing constant monitoring or intervention.

Furthermore, the design includes bolt-on fork pockets that are removable if not needed, allowing the stand to be used in a variety of configurations. The fork pockets make the stand easy to move with a forklift, guaranteeing that it can be transported to different areas of a facility without difficulty. Whether you need to move it across the warehouse or position it near a specific decanting station, the stand’s mobility is a huge asset.

3. Heavy Duty and High Capacity

Built to last, the Spring Loaded Tilting Stand is constructed from zinc-plated steel, which provides high resistance to corrosion, making it perfect for environments where the equipment will be exposed to various chemicals or environmental conditions. The stand’s capacity of 2000kg makes it suitable for a wide range of IBC containers, allowing it to handle even the heaviest loads without compromising safety or stability.

The load centre of 600mm ensures the stand remains balanced while in use, reducing the chance of instability during decanting. This careful attention to balance and structural integrity guarantees that the stand remains safe and durable for long-term use.

4. Easy to Transport and Store

Another practical feature of the Spring Loaded Tilting Stand is its ability to move easily. With a fork pocket size of 190x90mm and fork pocket centres of 730mm, the stand can be easily lifted, transported, and positioned in different areas of a warehouse or production facility. Whether you are using it for decanting, cleaning, or storage, it is built to be handled with little effort using a forklift or pallet truck.

In addition, the stand is built to be compact and functional, with an overall size of 1130x1200x360mm, ensuring that it doesn't take up unnecessary space in the workspace. When not in use, the stand can be stored conveniently without causing congestion or obstructing workflows.

5. Safety Features and Compliance

Safety is a critical concern when handling hazardous or sensitive liquids. The Spring Loaded Tilting Stand is engineered to adhere to industrial safety standards, providing assurance to businesses that prioritize worker safety. By minimising the manual effort required to decant liquids and providing a stable, controlled angle for pouring, the stand helps to prevent spills and accidents, therefore improving overall workplace safety.
