Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock used for?

The Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock is used to help prevent parked vehicles, trailers and mobile equipment from rolling when stationary. It is positioned against a wheel to provide an additional safety measure during loading, unloading, parking and maintenance activities.

2. Why use a Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock when vehicles already have brakes?

Vehicle braking systems are an important control measure, but wheel chocks provide an additional physical restraint. Many workplaces use wheel chocks as part of their parking, loading dock and vehicle isolation procedures to help reduce the risk of unintended movement.

3. Is the Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock suitable for fleet and service vehicles?

Yes. Lightweight wheel chocks are commonly carried in fleet vehicles, service trucks, trailers and maintenance vehicles where a portable wheel restraint may be required during day-to-day operations.

4. Where should the Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock be used?

Wheel chocks are commonly used in transport yards, loading docks, warehouses, workshops, construction sites and maintenance areas. They are particularly useful when vehicles are parked on slight gradients or during loading and unloading activities.

5. What are the advantages of a lightweight wheel chock?

A lightweight design makes the wheel chock easier to carry, deploy and store between uses. This can improve convenience for operators who regularly move between vehicles or work across multiple locations.

Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock for Portable Vehicle Restraint

Vehicle movement during loading, unloading or maintenance activities can create significant workplace risks. The Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock provides a simple but effective way to help secure stationary vehicles by creating a physical barrier against tyre movement. This lightweight plastic wheel chock is well suited to workplaces that require a portable and easy-to-handle vehicle restraint solution that can be deployed quickly when needed.

Support Safer Loading and Unloading Operations

Transport vehicles often remain stationary while goods are loaded or removed. Using a wheel chock as part of site safety procedures can help reduce the risk of unintended vehicle movement, supporting safer interactions between vehicles, equipment and personnel.

Easy to Carry Between Vehicles and Work Areas

Unlike heavier vehicle restraint systems, a lightweight wheel chock can be moved quickly between vehicles and work locations. This makes it particularly useful for mobile workforces, transport operators and maintenance teams that require flexible safety equipment.

Suitable for Transport, Warehousing and Maintenance Applications

From delivery vehicles and service fleets to trailers and industrial equipment, wheel chocks are used across many industries to support vehicle restraint procedures. The Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock provides a practical solution for businesses seeking a portable and easy-to-use wheel restraint device.

Improve Vehicle Safety Procedures with Verdex

Verdex supplies workplace safety and traffic management equipment designed to improve operational safety and site control. The Lightweight Plastic Wheel Chock provides a practical addition to vehicle restraint procedures, helping businesses support safer parking, loading and maintenance operations.
