Safety Cabinets for Corrosive Goods – 250L Capacity: A Reliable Solution for Hazardous Chemical Storage

When dealing with corrosive substances, the safety of workers, the environment, and facilities is essential. Corrosive chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and other hazardous materials, require safe, compliant storage solutions to minimise risks. The 250L Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods offers an ideal, robust, and compliant solution for safely storing corrosive materials. This cabinet guarantees the safety of personnel and the environment, providing assurance for businesses handling dangerous chemicals.

Why is the 250L Safety Cabinet Essential for Safe Chemical Storage?

Corrosive substances pose significant risks to human health, equipment, and the environment if not properly contained. Accidental spills, leaks, or exposure can result in severe injuries, chemical burns, and long-term environmental damage. To lessen these risks, it’s important to invest in reliable, certified storage solutions.

The 250L Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is particularly designed to meet Australian safety standards, ensuring that your business complies with regulations while protecting employees and facilities. With its large capacity and robust features, this cabinet provides enough storage space for a variety of corrosive chemicals, including larger drums, ensuring that these dangerous substances are securely stored and safely handled.

Key Features of the 250L Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods

1. Heavy-Duty Construction for Durability and Safety

Built from 1.2mm double-skin steel walls with a 40mm air gap, the 250L Safety Cabinet provides excellent thermal insulation, preventing any external heat from affecting the stored chemicals. This insulation ensures that the chemicals remain stable and safe, even in environments where external temperatures vary. The cabinet’s heavy-duty construction ensures durability, making it perfect for use in industrial, commercial, and laboratory settings.

2. Liquid-Tight Spill Containment for Added Protection

Accidental spills are one of the most common worries when handling corrosive materials. The 250L Safety Cabinet features a 150mm deep liquid-tight sump that effectively contains any spills or leaks, stopping chemicals from spreading and causing environmental damage. This sump also makes cleaning up any spills quick and easy, guaranteeing a safer and cleaner workspace.

3. Sequential Self-Closing features a sequential self-closing door mechanism that ensures the cabinet doors close automatically after use. This feature is important in reducing the risk of accidental exposure to hazardous chemicals. The three-point lock system provides added security, preventing unauthorised access and further improving the safety of the stored chemicals.

4. Adjustable Shelves with PVC Spill Trays

The cabinet features three adjustable galvanised shelves, offering flexibility to store various sizes of corrosive chemicals, from small bottles to larger containers. The PVC spill trays on each shelf provide additional protection against leaks, ensuring that any spills are contained and easily cleaned. The adjustable shelves also allow for easy organisation of different chemicals, helping to keep the storage space tidy and accessible.

5. Compliance with Australian Safety Standards

The 250L Safety Cabinet is fully compliant with the AS 3780:2008 Australian Standard for the safe storage and handling of corrosive substances. Compliance with these standards ensures that the cabinet meets strict safety regulations, making it suitable for use in workplaces where chemicals are stored and handled regularly. By investing in this cabinet, you’re not only improving workplace safety but also making sure that your business stays compliant with industry regulations.

6. Ample Storage Capacity

With a 250L storage capacity, the 250L Safety Cabinet provides enough space for storing a variety of corrosive substances. It can accommodate up to nine 20L drums, making it suitable for businesses that store large quantities of chemicals. The three shelves provide a practical solution for organising different containers of chemicals, maximising storage efficiency without compromising on safety.
