Safety Cabinets for Corrosive Goods – 60L Capacity: Safeguarding Your Workplace with Secure Storage Solutions
In workplaces that handle hazardous substances, specifically corrosive materials, safety must be prioritized. Corrosive substances like acids, alkalis, and solvents pose serious risks to both personnel and the environment if not stored properly. That's why investing in a Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods with a 60L capacity is important for maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Designed to meet strict safety standards and regulations, this cabinet provides robust protection, making it a perfect storage solution for a wide range of industries. Whether you're working in a laboratory, manufacturing plant, or workshop, this cabinet ensures that hazardous chemicals are securely stored while protecting employees from potential exposure.
Why You Need a Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods
Corrosive substances can cause serious damage to surfaces, equipment, and, most importantly, human health. Proper containment and safe storage of these materials are important to prevent spills, leaks, or accidents. The Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods provides the perfect solution, ensuring that hazardous chemicals are kept safely locked away, reducing the risks of exposure to dangerous substances.
This cabinet is designed to comply with the Australian Standard AS 3780:2008, which regulates the safe storage and handling of corrosive materials. By following these guidelines, the cabinet guarantees that you meet the legal requirements for storing corrosive chemicals, ultimately protecting your business from potential fines and penalties.
Key Features of the Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods – 60L Capacity
1. Heavy-Duty Construction for Durability
The Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is built to last, with 1.2mm double-skin steel walls that offer maximum strength and durability. The 40mm air gap between the double skins provides effective thermal insulation, minimising the risk of heat transfer and helping to prevent chemical reactions that could pose a fire or safety hazard. The robust construction ensures that the cabinet can endure the difficult conditions of industrial environments, providing reliable long-term performance.
2. Liquid-Tight Spill Containment
A 150mm deep liquid-tight sump is included at the base of the cabinet, providing an added layer of protection. This sump contains any accidental spills or leaks, ensuring that they do not spread and contaminate the surrounding area. By containing any hazardous materials, the cabinet prevents damage to your facility and improves workplace safety.
3. Self-Closing Doors with Three-Point Locking Mechanism
Safety is further improved with a sequential self-closing door mechanism that ensures the doors close automatically after being used, preventing accidental exposure to dangerous chemicals. The three-point locking system adds an extra level of security, keeping the cabinet tightly sealed and protected from unauthorized access. This is critical in environments where only authorised personnel should have access to corrosive substances.
4. Adjustable Shelving and Spill Trays
To suit a variety of containers and ensure the best organisation, the cabinet features adjustable galvanised shelves. This flexibility allows you to adjust the internal layout to your specific needs. Each shelf is equipped with PVC spill trays, which provide extra containment for any minor spills or leaks, keeping the chemicals securely stored and preventing them from spilling onto the shelves.
5. Ideal Capacity for Corrosive Liquids
With a 60L capacity, the cabinet is perfect for storing a mix of smaller containers or a larger quantity of chemicals. It can hold up to 12 x 2.5L drums or 2 x 20L drums, making it a great choice for businesses that need to store different sizes of containers in a compact and efficient manner. The two shelves allow for organised storage, guaranteeing that chemicals are easily accessible while remaining secure.
6. Compliance with Australian Safety Standards
Complying with the AS 3780:2008 standard, the cabinet is designed to meet the strict requirements for the storage of corrosive substances. This not only ensures that your workplace follows national safety standards, but also gives you assurance knowing that the materials are being stored in the safest possible way.
