That’s where the Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods with a 30L Capacity comes into play. Specifically designed to meet the demands of safely containing corrosive substances, this cabinet offers peace of mind while ensuring compliance with relevant Australian safety standards.
What Makes the Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods Essential?
The Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is designed to provide secure storage for dangerous chemicals and corrosive substances, ensuring they are stored in a safe environment that reduces the risk of exposure or accidents. Whether it’s used in industrial environments, laboratories, or workshops, this cabinet has features that prevent leaks, spills, and contamination.
Built to comply with AS 3780:2008, which outlines the storage of corrosive substances, the cabinet is designed to be durable, reliable, and easy to use. Its construction and functionality make it a perfect solution for businesses handling hazardous chemicals on a daily basis.
Key Features and Benefits
1. Robust and Durable Construction
The Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is built with heavy-duty 1.2mm double-skin steel walls. This design provides a high level of strength and durability, guaranteeing that the cabinet can endure the weight of the stored chemicals and any external pressures. The 40mm air gap between the double skin walls serves as thermal insulation, minimising the risk of heat transfer and providing an added layer of protection in case of chemical reactions or spills.
2. Efficient Spill Containment
The cabinet features a 150mm deep liquid-tight sump that is built to contain any accidental spills or leaks. This feature is particularly important when storing highly corrosive liquids, as it ensures that any excess liquid is safely contained within the cabinet, stopping it from spilling onto the floor or contaminating the surrounding environment.
3. Secure and Safe Access
Safety is an importance, and the Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is a safe solution, featuring a sequential self-closing door mechanism. This ensures that the doors automatically close in the correct way, preventing accidental exposure to harmful materials. The cabinet also features a three-point lock, providing additional security against unauthorized access.
4. Adjustable Shelving for Custom Storage
Flexibility in storage is crucial when it comes to handling different sizes of corrosive containers. The cabinet comes with adjustable galvanised shelves, allowing you to customize the interior layout to fit your specific storage needs. Each shelf is equipped with PVC spill trays, ensuring that any minor leaks or spills are contained at the shelf level, further protecting the integrity of the cabinet.
5. Convenient Size and Capacity
With a 30L capacity, this cabinet is ideal for storing small to medium quantities of corrosive liquids, including 6 x 2.5L drums or 1 x 20L drum. Its compact external size of 805x520x475mm makes it a space-efficient choice for smaller workspaces or environments where floor space is limited. Despite its relatively compact size, the cabinet provides enough storage for a variety of containers, keeping them safe and organised.
Compliance with Australian Safety Standards
One of the most significant features of the Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods is that it is made to comply with Australian Standard AS 3780:2008, which regulates the storage and handling of corrosive substances. By following this standard, the cabinet ensures that users are in compliance with regulatory requirements and helps reduce the risks related to storing dangerous chemicals.
