Key Features of the 160L Safety Cabinet for Corrosive Goods
1. Heavy-Duty Construction for Superior Durability
The 160L Safety Cabinet is built to last, constructed from 1.2mm double-skin steel walls with a 40mm air gap. This design provides thermal insulation, helping stop the risk of chemical reactions or fires due to heat exposure. The cabinet’s heavy-duty construction ensures it can endure the demands of industrial environments while maintaining its structural integrity over time.
2. Liquid-Tight Spill Containment
Accidental spills are a major concern when handling corrosive substances, and the 160L Safety Cabinet is designed to contain any potential leaks. It features a 150mm deep liquid-tight sump that effectively traps any spills, ensuring that they are contained within the cabinet and stopping them from spreading to the surrounding area. This containment feature is important in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
3. Sequential Self-Closing Door Mechanism
To minimise the risk of exposure to harmful chemicals, the 160L Safety Cabinet features a sequential self-closing door mechanism. This allows the doors to close automatically after use, preventing accidental exposure to hazardous materials. The cabinet also features a three-point lock for enhanced security, ensuring that the contents remain safely stored and protected from unauthorized access.
4. Adjustable Shelves with PVC Spill Trays
The 160L Safety Cabinet features adjustable galvanised shelves, providing flexibility to store different types and sizes of containers. Each shelf is equipped with PVC spill trays, offering an additional layer of protection against spills or leaks. These trays are easy to clean and help to keep the cabinet organised, making it easier to manage the storage of corrosive materials.
5. Ample Storage Capacity
With a 160L capacity, this safety cabinet has enough space for storing a range of corrosive substances. It suits six 20L drums, making it suitable for businesses that handle larger volumes of chemicals. The two shelves allow for efficient storage and easy access to your materials, while the adjustable design ensures that the cabinet can suit containers of varying sizes.
6. Compliance with Australian Safety Standards
The 160L Safety Cabinet complies with the AS 3780:2008 Australian Standard for the safe storage and handling of corrosive substances. This means that your business will stay compliant with local safety regulations, minimising the risk of accidents and fines for non-compliance. By investing in a cabinet that meets these standards, you’re demonstrating your commitment to safety and guaranteeing the protection of your employees and the environment.
