Face Shields: Premium Protection for Your Eyes and Face
In any workplace, protecting your eyes and face from hazards should always be a priority. Whether you’re working in construction, manufacturing, laboratories, or healthcare, the risk of exposure to flying debris, chemicals, and other hazards is ever-present. For environments where eye protection is critical, Face Shields offer an added layer of defence beyond traditional safety glasses or goggles.
The Face Shield provides comprehensive protection, certified to AS/NZS 1337.1:2010, adhering to Australian and New Zealand standards for personal eye protection. Designed for a range of high-risk industries, the face shield ensures your eyes and face are well protected, thus improving workplace safety and comfort.
Why Choose a Face Shield?
Face shields are an important component of personal protective equipment (PPE), particularly in environments where workers are exposed to significant risks. While safety glasses and goggles protect the eyes, a face shield offers broader coverage by protecting not only the eyes but also the face from impacts, splashes, and other dangerous particles.
Face shields are perfect for tasks that require protection from flying debris, sparks, chemical splashes, or even heat and UV radiation. They offer a clear and unobstructed view while ensuring that the wearer’s face is protected from hazardous materials or physical effects.
Key Features of the Certified Face Shield
The Face Shield is designed to provide superior protection, comfort, and durability. Here are the main features that make it a critical piece of safety gear for any workplace:
1. Certified to AS/NZS 1337.1:2010
One of the most crucial features of this face shield is its certification to AS/NZS 1337.1:2010, a standard that guarantees the shield meets Australian and New Zealand safety requirements for personal eye and face protection. This certification guarantees that the shield provides reliable impact protection for the face and eyes, making it suitable for a variety of high-risk industries.
2. Anti-Fog and Anti-Scratch 2mm Extra High-Impact Visor
The 2mm extra high-impact visor is made from durable, high-quality material, offering advanced impact protection for your face. Whether you're working with machinery, chemicals, or other hazardous materials, this robust visor provides brilliant protection against impacts from flying debris or particles.
Moreover, the anti-fog and anti-scratch properties of the visor ensure that visibility remains clear and unobstructed, even in environments where temperature and humidity can cause traditional safety glasses to fog up. This feature helps maintain comfort and safety, minimising the risk of accidents caused by poor visibility.
3. 260mm Long Visor with Chinguard
The 260mm long visor offers comprehensive coverage for your face, while the addition of the chinguard enhances protection by covering the lower part of the face. This feature is particularly important in situations where hazardous materials may be splashed or airborne particles might otherwise impact areas like the chin and jaw. The extended visor and chinguard design ensure that your face is fully shielded from potential harm.
4. 99.9% UV Protection
UV radiation is a significant risk factor, especially in outdoor work environments. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause serious damage to your eyes and skin, leading to conditions like cataracts or skin cancer. Fortunately, this face shield provides 99.9% UV protection, safeguarding your eyes and face from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Whether you're working outdoors in construction, agriculture, or landscaping, the face shield will help block out harmful UV rays, reducing the risk of long-term damage.
5. Flared Ear Cowls for Use with Hearing Protection
The flared ear cowls are an innovative feature designed to integrate seamlessly with hearing protection, such as earplugs or earmuffs. This ensures that both your eyes and ears are protected without any discomfort or interference. The flared design allows the face shield to be worn comfortably with hearing protection, making it ideal for noisy environments like factories, construction sites, and workshops where both eye and ear safety are essential.
