Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame: The Ultimate Solution for Safe and Efficient Liquid Handling
In industrial environments, specifically those that involve the storage and handling of hazardous liquids, it’s critical to have equipment that guarantees both safety and efficiency. The Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame (V7682) provides a superior solution, combining the benefits of an IBC Spill Bin and a Spring Loaded Tilting Stand in one robust package. Designed specifically for IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers), this innovative combination promises safe containment, decanting, and storage of hazardous liquids, all while complying with Australian Government regulations.
What is the Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame?
The V7682 Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame is a heavy-duty piece of equipment built to safely store and handle IBCs. It combines the features of two critical components: the IBC Spill Bin (V7585) and the Spring Loaded Tilting Stand (V7680). This combination provides a spill containment capacity that exceeds the Australian Government’s 125% containment requirement for IBCs, guaranteeing that any potential spills are safely contained.
The unit’s construction is designed for maximum durability and easy use. The IBC Bin is made from galvanised steel, providing corrosion resistance and robustness, making it ideal for handling hazardous materials in a wide range of industries. Meanwhile, the tilting frame allows for easy decanting, guaranteeing that liquids are dispensed from IBC containers safely and efficiently.
Key Features of the Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame
1. Robust Construction and Durability
The Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame is made from high-quality galvanised steel, providing improved resistance to corrosion, rust, and environmental wear. This makes it ideal for industries that require reliable, long-lasting equipment for the containment of hazardous materials, including chemicals, oils, and other industrial liquids. The zinc-plated tilting stand adds more durability, ensuring that the entire unit can endure harsh conditions.
2. Exceeds Australian Government Spill Containment Requirements
One of the standout features of this unit is its spill capacity. The V7682 IBC Bin offers a bund capacity of 1250L, well above the Australian Government’s 125% containment requirement for IBCs. This guarantees that when there is a spill or leakage, the liquid is safely contained within the bin, preventing contamination of the surrounding environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
3. Safe and Easy Decanting
The spring-loaded tilting frame allows for a smooth and controlled decanting process. The IBC container can be tilted to a slight angle, making it easier to pour out liquids without needing to manually lift or excessively force it. This not only improves operational efficiency but also improves worker safety by minimising the physical strain involved in handling heavy or hazardous liquids. The unit’s close spacing support bars provide more protection to the IBC frame, ensuring the container stays stable during the decanting process.
4. Easy to Transport and Handle
The Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame is designed for easy forklift and pallet truck entry, making it simple to transport between different areas of your facility. The unit’s fork pocket centres (670mm) and fork pocket size (160x60mm) are suited for handling by standard forklift equipment, ensuring that it can be easily relocated when required.
The unit’s dimensions—1456x1456x831mm (LxWxH) for the bin and 1200x1130x327mm for the tilting frame—ensure it stays compact while offering substantial storage and spill containment capacity.
5. High Capacity and Safe Working Load
The V7682 has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 2000kg, meaning it can support heavy IBC containers, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The combination of high load capacity, robust construction, and efficient spill containment makes it a priceless tool for workplaces that work with large quantities of hazardous liquids.
Applications of the Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame
The Galvanised IBC Bin with Decanting Frame is designed to be used in various industries where the safe storage and handling of hazardous liquids are essential. Some of the key applications include:
- Chemical Handling: Used for the storage and decanting of hazardous chemicals, ensuring that spills are safely stored.
- Manufacturing: Critical in factories where large quantities of liquids such as oils, solvents, or lubricants are stored and used.
- Food and Beverage: Perfect for the safe handling of ingredients stored in IBCs, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Pharmaceutical and Laboratory: Ideal for handling potentially dangerous liquids in labs and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
