Filtration Unit is designed to ensure best practices and EPA compliance for handling concrete slurry on site. Ideal for concrete slurry from truck washouts, equipment washouts, cutting, coring, and grinding, this unit efficiently pumps and filters sediment from silt-laden water. It features a filtration system that separates washout particles down to 80 microns, providing high-quality water treatment. The filter bag, which can handle up to 80 truck washouts before replacement, is suspended from the frame for easy removal using a crane or forklift. This facilitates straightforward maintenance and operation.

With a sump capacity of 0.3 cubic meters and a bag capacity of 0.6 cubic meters, the unit supports efficient wastewater processing. It includes a 50mm valve and is equipped with fork guides and crane lugs for easy relocation around the site. The unit's enamel paint finish ensures durability and resistance to environmental factors. With a working load limit of 1500kg and overall dimensions of 1200x1200x1420mm, this filtration unit is a robust solution for managing concrete slurry and ensuring site compliance.

Filtration Unit: The Ultimate Solution for On-Site Concrete Washwater Management

In the construction industry, managing concrete washwater effectively is not only essential for maintaining a clean and safe worksite—it’s also a critical component in meeting environmental regulations. The Filtration Unit is designed to handle concrete washwater safely and conveniently, providing a reliable solution to separate harmful waste on-site. This innovative unit is perfect for construction companies seeking to improve their environmental compliance while reducing the cost and hassle of off-site processing.

Efficient Waste Management and EPA Compliance

Concrete washwater from truck and equipment washouts, as well as byproducts from concrete cutting, core drilling, grinding, and grooving, often contains a mixture of sand, gravel, and suspended concrete particles. These particles can be as fine as 80 microns. The Filtration Unit utilises a purpose-constructed filtration bag, made from a 300gsm, 900mm cube non-woven geotextile fabric inner layer, which is protected by a bulk bag external. This design efficiently separates the unwanted particles from the concrete slurry. Excess water passes through the filter bag and is captured in a holding tank below, where it can be easily tested and treated without the need for expensive off-site processing.

This process not only guarantees best practice for handling concrete slurry but also helps to meet EPA compliance by preventing pollution from runoff. For projects that generate large volumes of concrete washwater, this unit provides a safe and cost-effective method of waste management that protects both the environment and your bottom line.

Versatility and Ease of Use

One of the key advantages of the Filtration Unit is its versatility. The unit is designed to handle concrete slurry from various sources, including truck and equipment washouts and the byproducts of concrete cutting, coring, and grinding. In addition to this, it can also serve as a dewatering station for filtering sediment-laden water, making it appropriate for sites that need to control sediment or pollution runoff.

A standout feature is the suspended filter bag, which is easily removed from the frame using a crane or forklift when full. With the capacity to process washout water from up to 80 concrete trucks before requiring a filter bag replacement (using the V6062 bag), the unit ensures continuous and reliable operation. The included 50mm valve facilitates easy drainage, while the forklift guides and crane lugs provide convenient relocation around the worksite.

Robust Construction for Demanding Environments

Constructed with a heavy-duty design and finished in enamel paint for extra durability, the Filtration Unit is built to withstand the challenging conditions of construction sites. With a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 1500kg, it is strong enough to handle the rigours of daily use. The unit’s overall dimensions of 1200 x 1200 x 1420mm and a unit weight of 140kg make it a manageable yet sturdy solution for on-site concrete washwater management.

The Filtration Unit also features a sump capacity of 0.3 cubic metres and a filter bag capacity of 0.6 cubic metres, ensuring that even large volumes of concrete washwater are effectively processed. This capability allows the wastewater in the holding tank to be tested and treated on-site, minimising the need for off-site processing and saving valuable time and resources.
